PAMELA JAYE SMITH is a mythologist, author, international consultant and speaker, and award-winning producer-director with over 30 years in the media industry. She has worked on projects ranging from major Hollywood studios to wildly independent companies, always enjoying the process of helping to bring creative ideas to worldwide screens.
Founder of MYTHWORKS, Pamela Jaye brings the power of story and Applied Mythology to individuals and organizations in many arenas including media, consciousness & spirituality, education, business, non-profits, and the military.
Pamela believes that the future of humanity depends on a synergistic confluence of science, philosophy, and the media arts.
She is the author of INNER DRIVES: Create Characters Through the 8 Classic Centers of Motivation [chakras], POWER OF THE DARK SIDE:Create Great Villains and Dangerous Situations, and SYMBOLS & IMAGES: The Secret Language of Meaning in Media [2010], all from pre-eminent film book publishers Michael Wiese Productions.
With 8 years formal study in Comparative Mysticism Pamela is a certified teacher of the Mystery Schools. She taught a series on Conscious Media at the Philosophical Research Society in 2000, was on the Future of Consciousness Round Table of the Institute for Global Transformation, and is on the Advisory Board of the Center for Conscious Creativity.
In THE GREAT WORK and The Science of the Secret DVD series Pamela is a featured teacher. She was Microsoft’s spokesperson for theirAge of Mythology game, and has appeared on TV, radio, and the internet as a mythology expert. She writes a series of articles on “Conscious Media” for The Writers Store ezine and contributes to many other publications.
Pamela has taught writing at Disney, RAI-TV Rome, UCLA, USC, American Film Institute, Thot Fiction Marseille, Natl. Film Institute of Denmark, Pepperdine University, Screenwriting EXPO [Star Speaker], Conscious Life Expo, Romance Writers of America, and many conferences and film festivals. Other production and presentation clients include GM, Boeing, Hyundai, U.S. military, West Point, Assoc. of Proposal Management Professionals, StoryCon-BrainScience-Biofeedback, American Assoc. of University Women, and many more. She also teaches actors and directors to use the chakras as performance tools.
Think-tank credits include Boeing’s Workforce Development, the Birth-2-Work Education organization, and the U.S. Army’s Advanced Warfighting Working Group where she gave presentations on the Warrior Spirit, Leadership and Communications, and Ethics and Values.
Pamela is a Master Mason in a co-ed Lodge with international affiliations, was past President of the Pan-Pacific SE Asian Womens Association affiliated with the UN, and was in Who’s Who in the World Millennium Edition.
Currently Pamela is producing two documentaries, one on the car club culture in LA and the other on the use of supercomputers in cosmology, the life sciences, and hurricane predictions.
