Alison Savitch is a producer in all aspects of multi-media entertainment; from blockbuster live-action movies & television to theme park attractions for the worlds leading parks to special venue production. She specializes in producing and supervising digital media including VFX, animation, and themed entertainment worldwide. Ms. Savitch was the longest standing Chair of the Producers Guild of Americas New Media Council, and the Visual Effects Committee for the entire PGA and the Board of Directors for the Producers Guild, Advisory Board of Gnomon School of VFX, founding Board Member of the Visual Effects Society, and New Media liaison to the First Lady’s Joining Forces Task Force.
Savitch is known for her innovations in transmedia for feature films, TV, theme park entertainment, animation, motion capture, and all aspects of new media and 3D stereoscopic platforms. Her producing and supervising credits include: Green Lantern, Conan the Barbarian, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Piranha 3D, The Poseidon Adventure, Messengers, Rise, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Harold & Kumar Escape Guantanamo Bay, Bangkok Dangerous, Alexander, The Abyss, Dracula, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, The Grudge & The Grudge 2, Aliens of the Deep, The Matrix, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Highlander: Endgame, The Imposter, Scary Movie, The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas, The Shadow, Beowulf, The Faculty, Dogma, Arachnophobia, The Last Action Hero, and the Mortal Kombat franchise.
Savitch is known for her innovations in Theme Parks, Animation, Visual Effects, Motion Capture and 3-D stereoscopic production. Most recently, she produced and supervised the animation and visual effects on numerous major theme park attractions, including an all CGI stereoscopic movie for Hershey Park, Star Trek: Borg Invasion a- stereoscopic ride/attraction film for Paramount’s Theme Park Division and the Walt Disney Company’s #1 ride ever. “Mission Space” at Epcot Center as well as one of Euro Disney’s top attractions ARMAGEDDON, based on the blockbuster movie to name a few.
Savitch produced both Mortal Kombat features. Each one opened number one in the box office as they went on to gross nearly $200 million worldwide. She also produced Mortal Kombat’s Animated series that was #1 on USA network, as well as Mortal Kombat, The Journey Begins, a direct to video animated special that ranked #1 on the Billboard Kid Vid sales and rental charts, in which Ms. Savitch pioneered the use of Motion Capture and went on to further develop Motion Capture for some of Hollywood’s most memorable and technically advanced moments on film. Savitch continues to develop and produce top trans-media properties across the media spectrum.
Savitch was and is also involved in developing the launch of a new era in a 3D stereoscopic process for the main stream market place, including a complete 3D stereoscopic production studio as well as various museums and alternative venue Productions.
