Events are a key area of c3‘s activities.  The c3 has hosted, produced and or sponsored hundreds of events since its inception such as; fulldome performances, workshops, screening, lectures, concerts, book signings, conferences, think-tanks, panels etc., for both individuals and organizations.

Events range from expressive to cognitive to communal, and each are created with the intention to provide a local and global reach.  Bringing diverse people together inspires innovation and synergy.  The c3 seeks to create events that allow space for people to meet and share projects and ideas.

Through generous support from sponsor Vortex Immersion Media the c3 maintains offices at Los Angeles Center Studios with access to the wonderful facilities there and also The Vortex Dome Studio/Venue.  Events and workshops are held in various conference room spaces, the Vortex Dome and in the Studio’s 375 seat screening room/theatre.

This year’s State of the Arts 2013 event is designed to present a unique perspective on the cutting edge trends in the fulldome space and how this powerful format can be used to educate, entertain and enhance the arts and media, and what that effect can be be on education, society and culture within the context of immersive storytelling and art. The goals of the evening are twofold; to update the audience on this emerging medium and how it might evolve in the coming decade, what new career opportunities the fulldome space offers, and the social impact and responsibility of creating with conscious intent,  from a cross-disciplinary perspective.  The second goal of all c3 events is to create networking events that bring together thoughtful, visionary creatives, artists, mediamakers, academics, students, business leaders, futurists, scientists, consciousness professionals and those interested in working to discover new ways to progress humanity’s evolution. The State of the Arts 2013 will highlight the unique marriage of art, media, education and technology in our evolving tech-driven age and to look at the future with a perspective on socially beneficial storytelling and content, how the power of Arts, Media and Entertainment can effect consciousness and catalyze individual, educational, social and global transformation....
